Evidence and Resources
Using the markbook in Classroom Monitor teachers are now able to attach teaching resources (lesson plans, activities, websites etc) to objectives and attach evidence of assessments (photos, videos, documents etc) to assessments.
As teaching resources are built up you can share best practice throughout the school and quickly access the best activities to support APP/ EYFS etc. All activities are saved securely so that your teachers can access them anytime, and year on year – ensuring that Classroom Monitor becomes a central resource bank for your school.
Evidence of assessments – each teacher can attach notes, photos, videos or other files to pupils’ assessments to support teaching judgments. From September 2010 each teacher will be able to share this evidence with parents online, helping to engage parents with their child’s learning and allowing your school to hit the 2012 deadline for online reporting to parents without adding to workload.
Until June 2010 it will be possible to upload files (resources or evidence) for free, these files will then be free to access for as long as required. From the 1st June if you want to upload further files to make the most of this service there will be a charge for securely storing your data on our servers. To see the prices for hosting and to order the service for when the free period ends please contact 0844 5555211. The Evidence and Resources area will always be free to existing users where no files are uploaded (when adding notes / internet links etc).
Adding evidence to support assessments
- Select the assessments you wish to add evidence for from either the class or pupil markbook (evidence doesn’t have to be added for one pupil/assessment criteria at a time). Select ‘Evidence & Resources - > Add’ from the menu.

- From the ‘Evidence and Resources’ screen type any notes you want to make, and select whether you wish to attach a file.

- Clicking save then ‘Return to Markbook’ will display a magnifying glass on the markbook to show there is evidence to support assessment.

- Right clicking on a box where there is a magnifying glass to show that evidence has been added and choosing ‘Evidence & Resources -> View’ will show a list of the evidence that is available.

Adding Teaching Resources
- Teaching resources can be added to Classroom Monitor and attached to assessment criteria to support best practice in schools. Right click on a markbook objective and choose ‘Add Evidence or Resource’ from the menu. Again the ‘Evidence and Resources’ screen will appear and allow you to add some notes and/or attach a file, or even a link to a useful online resource.

- Clicking save, then ‘Return to Markbook’ will show a magnifying glass on the markbook to show where there are teaching resources associated with assessment criteria. Teaching resources are shared between all teachers in your school.
